DAY 2 (Monday June 18) Skykomish WA to Wenatchee WA: Rained all night and half of the ride. 76 miles. But we had a 16 mi climb to start. Up to Stephens Pass, into a snow capped mountain. Then a 20+ mile descend (froze my wet fingers off) down into a beautiful valley with waterfalls, rivers etc. And then ended the ride in a desert. We went from below freezing temps to 80 degrees all in one day. So...had to adjust clothing all the way. Really the most diverse and beautiful (and tough) ride I have done. Pictures: (1) views, (2&3) climbing Stephens Pass to the top, in the rain and snow, (4&5) coming down the mountain to next climate, (6&7) view from lunch stop
