Day 8 (Monday June 25th):  Missoula, MT to Lincoln, MT: 81 miles. We decided to go easy. Was to be an easy 80, slow incline all day, with one minor hill. But we had bad head winds all day, so not so "easy". Temp was unusually high also, in the 90's. After ride, before dinner, we went into town for a milkshake, after dinner back into town for a beer. Pictures: (1) Univ Montana where we stayed, (2)  views - Tim, Greg, (3) Tim gets flat - Theo, Erin, Scott, Tim, Steve, (4) View - Erin, Theo (5) view, (6) Lunch / Picnic, (7) the guys I typically ride with - funny - we are all of a different decade - Scott/17, Tim/26, Erin/37, me/ummm 49, Theo/59, (8,9,10) views, (11) camp. PROFILE:  Tim Brant-Coles

OK...some stories. I will start profiling some of my new friends. I have to start with Tim....you will see why. Tim is from the UK. Lives not too far from where we lived in Hampshire. He is near Basingstoke. Tim is 26, owns his own Storage company. Once he completes the US coast to coast, he is doing a coast to coast in the UK. All for a charity aimed at supporting veterans. I could go on and on about "stories" from hanging around Tim. I am proud to say he is my good friend.

Just a couple stories on Tim, who I should say is quite the comedian. He prides himself on being one of our main sources of entertainment. In Seattle (before our trip started), he rode in the naked cyclist carnival. He got all pained up and rode nude. I saw pics...I will not share them. After dinner one night, he saw a train in the distance and chased it, to catch a ride. He dropped all his belongings and shoes, and ran. I took some photos. Just then his girlfriend called, and I answered. Told her he was busy at the moment, chasing a train.

Some photos of Tim.

UPDATE - added more pics. I can't add more stories, although there are plenty, as they are not printable. haha

DAY 7 Video - taken from Tim...our decent on the 108 miler Saturday........

DAY 7 (Sat June 23 ride) Thompson Falls, Montana to Missoula, Montana: Another century. 108 miles. Tim, Erin, Theo and I basically raced the century. Mimi hung in for most. We had no major mountains, but some good hills. Getting into shape...we were averaging 20.5 mph at lunch. Finished the full 108 miles with an avg speed of 19.4 mph. Pretty aggressive. One of our favorite rides. Great weather after a forecast of rain, hail and low temps, it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day. Had a very fun downhill near the end...got up to 49.5mph. Pictures: (1,2,3) views from beginning of the ride - and Tim being a monkey, (4) Erin had flat, and another flat while fixing the first one - Mimi is in the middle of pic - she is from DC area, (5) Erin, Carol, Tim, Me, Theo, (6) view, (7,8) views from behind me while I am pulling, (9) view, (10) the pace line - Tim, Erin, Theo, (11, 12, 13) views, (14) the gang pulling into Missoula at around 98 miles - L to R - Joe, Theo, Tim, Erin.
