DAY 26 (Monday August 6th) Niagara Falls, Ontario to Geneseo, NY:  92 miles. Avg speed 18.4 mph. The route changed for the first 2.5 days of this week, from the original route. The intent is to take on more of the Finger Lakes, which will add scenery, hills and miles. I like it. We ended at SUNY Geneseo today. Our journey started at Niagara Falls, in Ontario, Canada.  On Saturday, Ross, Adam and I drove from Albany to Buffalo (mostly an easy ride on I-90). We were picked up at the airport and taken into Canada to meet the group. The van & trailer broke down right in the customs line crossing the border. We had to be pushed out of the way, then recused by the tour leader who swapped batteries. We finally reached camp by 7:30pm. We walked through a thunder storm to have a great reunion dinner with Erin, Theo, Tim and Tim's girlfriend Amanda, who is from Toronto. On Sunday, we toured the falls by taking the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride, which takes you right into the falls. We got dumped on by some severe thunderstorms walking back, and took refugee at a B&B to avoid some of the down pour. Today's ride was great. Theo, Ross, Adam and I beat the Cycle America crew to Picnic, as they got stuck in customs. We waited for them to show, helped set up Picnic, then went on our way, up and down some great rollers. Some climbs were as much as 10-14% grade. We finished before the school was ready for us, so we went into town for some beers, burgers and wings.
